Terminals and GPS tracking devices

What are terminals?

Terminals are the tracking and monitoring sensor devices installed in your vehicle. At Mireo, we use several types of terminals to meet different customer needs. Since the terminals vary greatly, we’ll provide you with all the necessary technical information once we’ve determined which fleet management solution is right for you.

How can I identify individual drivers in different vehicles?

We can install an optional Driver ID system in each vehicle, which requires drivers to use RFID cards before operating a vehicle.

Use of the MireoFleet system

Do I need to buy a server to use MireoFleet?

No! The server infrastructure is ours and it’s our responsibility. You only need to pay a monthly subscription fee.

Do I need to install MireoFleet on my computer?

No! MireoFleet is a web application that requires no installation. All you need is an internet connection and web browser! Just go to our web page and sign in with your user name and password to start working. MireoFleet is supported by most popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera.

Can the MireoFleet system be integrated into my existing business system?

Yes! We’ll provide you with our raw system data and documentation, which you can use to independently integrate MireoFleet into your existing business system.

Customer support

How does customer support work?

Customer support for issues related to the application is provided by telephone and is available during regular working hours from Monday through Friday. If you have an emergency like vehicle theft, we will provide help outside of regular working hours. Support for issues relating to hardware is handled by our partners at the authorized service center where your system was installed. Issues will be resolved within five working days.

What is the Administrative Module? Does it monitor vehicle costs?

Yes! It enables you to monitor all costs associated with running your vehicle fleet, including registration, insurance, maintenance, repairs, financing/leasing, fuel, etc.

Can I export and print vehicle reports directly from the app?

Yes! You can export reports as Excel documents and PDFs. You can also print directly from the application.

How long will my vehicle data be stored on the MireoFleet servers?

Forever!

Does the number of vehicles being tracked affects system performance?

No! You can track any number of vehicles at once. The system will work just as fast.

Pricing

Are mobile internet costs included in the price of the system?

This depends on the type of agreement; the cost of GPRS data services can be included or excluded from your monthly subscription fee.

Genius Maps

Purchase and activation

Can I use Genius Maps on multiple devices without paying for it again?

Yes, but you need to use the same Apple/Google ID. This is an Apple/Google policy, and we can't change it. After installing Genius Maps, open it, go to Settings, scroll down, and tap the Restore My Purchases button.

Can I use a single license for Genius Maps on devices with a different operating system?

No. If you purchased Genius Maps for iOS, you will have to buy the Android version and vice versa. This is an Apple/Google policy, and we can't change it.

I've previously purchased Genius Maps, but I'm being asked to pay for it again. What can I do?

Please make sure that you are using the same Apple/Google ID on your device. After installing Genius Maps, open it, go to Settings, scroll down, and tap the Restore My Purchases button.

7 day free trial

What does the free version of Genius Maps provide?

In addition to a fully-functional 7-day free trial with Pro Guidance and Live Traffic, professional maps for pedestrian navigation, offline searching, planning, saving places and routes, and sharing them with friends is free forever.

Can I get an extra 7-day trial?

Unfortunately, we offer one trial period per device. It's our opinion that a week of using our application is enough for users to get used to it and explore all its features.

Updates

How often do you update maps?

We update maps four times a year. Updates are limited to the country or region for which you've purchased Pro Guidance.ubscription fee.

I'm using Genius Maps on my Blackberry phone with the Blackberry OS. Will I still be able to get updates for my application and maps?

Unfortunately, BlackBerry has decided to remove all paid apps from their store. This is why we can no longer provide updates for our application or maps.

Routing

I'm experiencing issues with routing (wrong turns, being led in circles...).

Contact us at support@mireo.hr with details on the route you were using and exactly where the irregularity happened.

I've come across a wrong address/house number/closed road...

As we use maps developed and maintained by HERE, we kindly ask you to use their map editor to change any wrong input - https://mapcreator.here.com/

Is it possible to add a destination without stopping the car and typing in the address?

Yes, our app features a voice entry option. However, as with Siri, Bixby, or any other assistant, giving voice commands to an application will never be completely hands-free, since any sort of command needs to be verified by tapping to select your final choice. Therefore, we strongly advise all of our users to safely stop their vehicle before attempting to give any orders/requests, vocal or physical, to Genius Maps, as even voice commands can cause driver distraction.

Discounts

Are there ever discounts?

Yes! We'll let you know about discounts, updates, and new features via notifications if you've given Genius Maps permission to send you notifications. You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram or check out our website for more info.

GPS positioning and features

My position is shown incorrectly.

Please check that GPS is enabled in your device's settings and that you are outdoors with a clear line of sight with the sky.

How do I get 3D buildings and 2D City Maps?

Go to the Main Menu and tap Manage Maps. Choose the region followed by the map, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and choose 3D Buildings and 2D City Maps. Tap the Download button.

Car Connectivity

How do I know if Genius Maps will work with my car's in-car entertainment system?

Genius Maps is compatible with Mirror Link, CarPlay, Bosch MySpin, and Pioneer AppRadio.

Genius Maps doesn't work when I connect my phone to my car's in-car entertainment system.

In order for our app to work, you must have purchased both Pro Guidance and Vehicle Connectivity. The app won't function without one or the other.

I can't get my BRP Spyder bike to reproduce sound from the app.
